I was born and raised in Shanghai,China and moved to Peebles in late 2021.

I learnt how to make ceramics in 2020 in a government funded ceramics course. and have continued my ceramics journey ever since. 

I favour bold colors with simple shapes, most of the work I make is hand painted, and are nature / life inspired abstract patterns. I define my work as contemporary organic, they are modern and expressive.

I am not a production potter, as I enjoy my time in my studio alone a lot, behind the workbench or the wheel, sometimes i can spend hours just playing with clay to feel the texture flowing through the fingertips, it feels meditative and therapeutic. (that's not helping financially though), making ceramics is also a constant challenge, it teaches us to be more patient and to study more.
